Historical background

The International Conference "Information Technologies in Energy and Agroindustrial Complex" emerged as a transformation of the conference "Resource Saving and Use of Renewable Energy Sources – a Priority Area of Agroindustrial Complex Development", which had been regularly held since June 2009 at the Faculty of Mechanics and Energy.

The conference was organized by the Department of Electrotechnical Systems and the Department of Energy.

In 2015, the name was changed to "Energy Efficiency, Resource Saving and the Use of Renewable Energy Sources", marking the 10th anniversary of the Department of Energy.

In 2011, 2013, 2016, and 2018, the conference was held jointly with the Commission for Motorization and Energy of Agriculture of the Lublin Branch of the Polish Academy of Sciences, under the title "Energy Biotechnology".

At different times, the conference was part of the international scientific forum "Theory and Practice of Development of Agro-industrial Complex and Rural Areas", traditionally hosted by Lviv National Agrarian University.

In 2021, the title of the conference was changed to "Information Technologies in Energy and Agroindustrial Complex (ITEA)", in response to the growing role of information technology in the scientific and practical activities of Ukraine’s energy and agro-industrial sectors.

In 2021, 2022, and 2023, the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd workshops of the International Scientific and Practical Conference ITEA were held.

The aim of the workshops is to establish a foundational international platform for:

  • presenting research results,
  • discussing strategies and current trends,
  • implementing innovative tools,
  • sharing the latest developments in information technologies related to energy and the agro-industrial complex,
  • attracting the world’s best practices.
